Bruno Segers joins Real Software as Chief Operating Officer
On June 13 Real Software announced that Bruno Segers, former Country General Manager of Microsoft joined Real Software as Chief Operating Officer (COO). In that position he will oversee the daily operations in Belgium and the Netherlands. On top of that he will assist CEO Ashley Abdo in the local and international growth strategy of the company. Mr. Segers has an extensive IT background with over 25 years in Europe with companies including Digital, Oracle, Lotus, IBM and Microsoft.
“With its Plan, Build, Run approach to IT solutions, Real Software has everyone focused in the same direction again and is in a strong position relative to the competition. Moreover, the company is now financially stable, which is an important prerequisite for being able to obtain good business. Real still has work to do on its positioning in the market but the team is certainly back on track to become a client focused, sales driven company capable of delivering sustainable growth and market leading profitability” said Bruno Segers.
Ashley Abdo states, “We are extremely pleased to add Bruno to our management team. Given Bruno’s background and experience, we expect that he will add significant value toward achieving our strategic objectives.”
Mr. Segers will remain active in the local IT sector, and as such, will maintain his board mandates in Aventiv, City Live and IBBT, a research institute of the Flemish government.
