Hieronder vindt u mijn ‘eerste Nomadisk blog post‘ :
Hello, my name is Stijn Wijndaele. I am employee Nr 1 at Aventiv. A year ago I did my internship here, and now I am working as a customer support engineer. Aventiv’s first customer support engineer.
So most of the time, I am the person who is taking care of your problems and questions. And I have to say this:
- Yes I’m very lucky with such friendly customers; that is what keeps me going…
- Yes I’m aware of the fact that Nomadisk has some child diseases but now with the latest investment money, I hope these bugs get solved rather quickly. Some extra functionalities would be welcome as well. I’m thinking for instance about our Microsoft Outlook 2003 extension, Xpost, which makes it possible to backup and share all your Outlook data.
- I couldn’t care less about my Nr 1 status. There is no advantage to it. Maybe I should re-negotiate. Filip?
- It does mean I get to train everyone joining the company after me. Gnagnagna. Filip!
No seriously. Right now we’re working on organizing ourselves. With the company growing at this tremendous pace, things change. One of the things that have already changed is the way we handle our support. Previously it was possible to handle support with a simple mail to clients. But to be prepared for the future we started with a ticketing system. For this we rely on Liveperson and its extra support functionality, LiveChat.
You’ve probably already noticed the fine lady in the upper right corner of the Nomadisk site, who makes it possible to chat with us. Well I have to disappoint you. In real life it is not the lady that answers you but either my colleague Peter or me. We decided to keep the lady ourselves.
Oh and if I could add one more bullet, it would be something along the lines of “Join me, it’s lonely at the top.”
